Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy is coming out in January with loads of extras

We got a new trailer, new character art, and a new release date for Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy today, and to say I’m excited is an understatement.

The Trilogy will be released on Thursday, 25th January on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It combines 2007’s Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, 2013’s Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies, and 2016’s Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice into one whopping, 90+ hour package of finger-pointing goodness. And it comes bundled with DD and SoJ’s DLC cases and costumes at no extra cost.

But it’s not just a new coat of paint. Capcom is also throwing in:

A 175-track music player, including songs from the Ace Attorney 15th Anniversary Orchestra Concert and the Ace Attorney 2019 Orchestra Concert
An Art Library including never-before-seen art commissioned especially for this re-release
An Animation Studio that allows players to combine characters, animations, locations, music, and voice lines however they please (Tumblr will be ecstatic)
Chapter select and a text backlog for all three games (both of which were sorely missing in Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy)
The Story Mode feature from The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, which essentially allows you to sit back and watch the game play itself
And five new languages — French, German, Korean, and Traditional and Simplified Chinese — all with their own voice dubs

It’s hard to pinpoint exactly when Capcom stopped treating this franchise (and its fans) like an afterthought, but my goodness they are just hitting it out of the park lately. This means ten out of the eleven current Ace Attorney titles are now playable on modern, HD devices — and the odd one out is Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, which perhaps isn’t the biggest loss.
